Please Note: Development of the Cultural Profiles is now complete. The Cultural Profiles were created in 1998 and 2002. See the individual country PDF for specific date of creation.

Up to Date Resources

These profiles were created some years ago and have not been updated since 1998 for some and 2002 for others. While they are available as a general introduction to countries, cultures and people from around the world, there are other resources that you may want to consult. We have created a list of those resources here, for your additional information.

A concise profile of countries featured in the New Internationalist magazine.

NationMaster.com
A massive central data source that allows you to graphically compare nations. NationMaster is a compilation of data from such sources as the CIA World Factbook, United Nations, World Health Organization, World Bank, World Resources Institute, UNESCO, UNICEF and OECD.

Amnesty International Library
Contains an archive of most reports, news releases and urgent actions published from 1996 to date.

UNICEF - Country Statistics
Economic and social statistics on the countries and territories of the world, with particular reference to children's well-being.

CIA - The World Factbook
Lists population, government, military, and economic information for nations recognized by the United States.
